Description: The world as we know it has changed in many ways due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We are now expected to show up differently and to do things in new ways at home, in the work, and marketplaces. Our new normal reality requires new ways of thinking, feeling, connecting, and performing. It demands us to understand that conflict during a crisis like this is normal, and therefore, we should develop the skills necessary to turn conflicts into opportunities through collaborations.

The bi-monthly FREE webinar series delivered by PRO Leadership focuses on building leadership skills that empower people to effectively deal with change, develop resilience, and remain resourceful during challenging times through collaborations to turn conflicts into opportunities at home, work, and marketplaces.

Learning Objectives:

1. To gain new insights and understand what conflict is, sources of conflict, and impacts of conflict at the individual, organizational, and national levels 
2. To learn more about the different conflict resolution types
3. To learn some principles and practical strategic approaches to turn conflict into opportunities for individual and corporate collaborations in times of crisis

Another successful New Breed Leaders of Africa workshop at Addis Ababa University University Black Lion facilitated by dynamic young leaders of PRO Leadership in Addis Ababa.

This kind of successful program cannot be organized without teamwork. Congrats to the Addis team who worked behind the scene tirelessly.

I had a very productive discussion with VOA Amharic Gabina’s producer HABTAMU SEYOUM earlier this past week. He asked me very timely questions that are very relevant to Ethiopian youth, the future of the country.

The interview focused on the youth’s role to overcome conflicts, unemployment, and ultimately pick themselves from the ashes to greatness through self-initiative, small scale action, and persistence. In the interview, I mentioned about PRO Leadership’s effort in Ethiopia to empower the youth starting from AAU; how I was handling myself when I was young :-); examples of some of the things I used to do that helped me to get where I’m today; how other countries built their people to take themselves from the third world to first class, and more.

Today at Ghion Hotel, PRO Leadership’s Team in Addis offering Training of Trainers (TOT) for AAU faculty representatives as we expand our New Breed Leaders of Africa program to students in the different faculties of the University.
