The highest decision making body of PRO Leadership is its Board of Directors, who have the moral obligation to work for the best interest of the organization. The main task of the Board is to provide direction to the Executive Offices- which run the day-to-day activities of PRO Leadership, and monitor the activities of the organization. The Board makes sure that the organization abides to its bylaws, obeys Federal and State Laws, and other regulations pertaining to non-profit organizations. It also strives to make the organization live up to its values, and accountable to its clients, partners, and supporters.

1. Chairman and Interim CEO, Dr. Assegid Habtewold
Assegid Habtewold is a coach, speaker, trainer, and consultant at Success Pathways, LLC. He has diverse professional background including Doctor of Strategic Leadership from Regent University. He is also the author of Redefining Leadership: Navigating the Path from Birthright To Fulfillment in Life! and “The Nine Cardinal Building Blocks for continued success in leadership”. He was also the Producer of an educational TV program entitled “The Hour of Empowerment Show (THE Show)” at the Ethiopian Satellite TV and Radio- ESAT, and recently began to host a new program called The WWH Show.

2. Vice-Chairman and Executive Director of Leadership Development Program, Dr. Charles (Chuck) Bowen

Dr. Charles T. Bowen Jr. (a.k.a., Dr. Chuck) has over twenty-eight years of progressively responsible technical and management experience in private industry and the military. He is an experienced strategic planner, business analyst, systems engineer and enterprise architect. He holds a Doctor of Strategic Leadership (DSL) from Regent University; with a focus on Strategic Foresight. He holds a Masters of Science in Management from Troy State University and Bachelors of Science in Industrial Technology from Truman State University.

3. Secretary and Executive Director of Leadership Advocacy Program, Col. Carla Blue

Carla D. Blue, is the Founder and CEO of  i.C.A.R.E. Solutions, LLC, a company dedicated to creating successful business solutions for organizations and communities.  Carla is a retired Deputy Fire Chief with more than 20 years of solutions based, results focused and people driven leadership.  She capitalizes on the “power of the people” to drive, create and implement global solutions for future success.  Carla provides state of the art training, extensive team building, and proven results.   As a PRO Leadership Board of Director and Secretary of the Board, she will provide professional support related to effective leadership practices for the 21st century.

4. Treasurer, Mr. Negash Solomon (CPA)

Negash is an accountant at American Federation of Government Employees. He has a strong financial and accounting background. He got his first degree in Accounting from Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia in 2003. Proceed to that, he earned his MBA in Finance from University of Northern Virginia in 2007. He had worked in different positions at Commercial Bank of Ethiopia, the biggest bank in the country. Currently, he is a member of Virginia Society of CPA (VSCPA). Negash’s passion to serve others using his experiences and professional skills attracted him to serve as a Board of Director and Treasury of PRO Leadership.

Azeb G. Belay has years of project coordination, health management and direct nursing experience with several international NGO’s and Hospitals in Ethiopia and Central Africa. She is a well organized and goal oriented person. She is strong and inspirational leader with a talent for problem solving of day-to-day operations. Currently, she is a Registered Nurse working as Operations Manager at HCP, LLC a Home Care Agency in Northern Virginia. Her passion in helping the less fortunate children who lack basic needs and making them tomorrow’s leaders has brought her to serve as PRO Leadership Global Inc Board of Director.
